Cambridge Fans United presented Cambridge United with a cheque for £10,000 at the recent home fixture against Guiseley. The Trust will receive shares in the club in return. CFU Chairman Dave Matthew-Jones commented “This is further evidence of the Trust’s backing for Cambridge United. We are happy to help whenever we are able. However, we can only do so if the supporters back us. It is important that everyone joins CFU.”
Exeter City Football Club were delighted to put their full support behind the recent International ‘Football v Homophobia’ campaign, which was marked at the club’s recent match against Bury FC at St James Park. The Grecian’s One Game One Community group, in partnership with The Justin Campaign, united with officials at Exeter City FC for the visit of the Shakers, in challenging the on-going prejudice still experienced by gay players and fans as part the nation wide campaign.
FC United closes in on £1.6m community shares target to help finance new football ground and community facility in Moston. Supporters of fan-owned football club FC United of Manchester have raised over £1.5m in community share income, leaving just £94,000 of their £1.6m shares target to raise to help fund a community sports facility in Moston, north Manchester.
