The Nottingham Forest Supporters' Trust launched its membership on 21st January. The launch date was brought forward to take advantage of heightened concerns amongst Reds fans when the deal for the current owner, Fawaz Al Hasawi, to sell the club to an American consortium fell through.
On Supporters Direct Weekly this week Ben was joined by Ben Harrison, Trust Chairman at Tranmere Rovers, plus we hear from Trust Board Member at Slough Town, Dan Brench, on how the club is settling into their new stadium.
It has long been a dream to have an all-weather facility to aid the training of footballers of all levels within the club, so when recently finances allowed, the Supporters’ Trust were pleased to support the Club’s investment in a state of the art 3G pitch at the Cliff Hill Training Ground. This new facility was recently opened and we are delighted at the use already being made of it.

This afternoon a debate led by Damian Collins MP was held in the House of Commons proposing the reform of the Football Association (F.A.) through legislation. Today Supporters Direct issued a plea that reform must result in the F.A. re-establishing itself as the independent regulator of football.
