CAFE Western European Development Officer – full time

The Centre for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE) has been created to ensure disabled supporters can enjoy a football match as a problem-free experience. CAFE's aim is inclusivity and equality of experience. And, because football embraces diversity in all its forms, CAFE will also work with the football family to raise disability awareness more widely throughout Europe.

CAFE is seeking a dynamic and self motivated Development Officer for Western Europe. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the Administration Manager.

This role will be self-employed and home based with the successful candidate living within Western Europe. The candidate must have access to a computer and communications and must be computer literate. An understanding of supporters' networks will be important and knowledge of pan-disability access requirements for disabled supporters at sports stadia will be an advantage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and building a network of local and regional disabled supporters associations;
  • Sharing CAFE, disability and access information with regional disabled supporters groups;
  • Promoting good practice and improving access; supporting shared CAFE projects;
  • Liaising with regional stakeholders.

 

This role includes foreign travel and the successful candidate must be fluent in English (verbal and written) and able to speak (and write) at least 1 further European language.
