MUST Membership passes 120,000

It's difficult not to notice the MUST campaign to change the ownership of Manchester United. It's been hitting the headlines as it sailed past the 40, 50, 60 and 70 thousand mark.

But days ago as it approached the 78,000 capacity of Old Trafford, there were probably plenty asking when the slowdown would come. But in just days the membership has veritably steamed past the 100,000 mark, and today stands at 126,781 strong.

It's been said far too many times before that fans of the 'big clubs' aren't interested in 'our' issues; for example that making football clubs better run and less in hock to one person - or one family - is something many of us can sign up to.

Hopefully now, with the efforts of MUST, and the Newcastle United Supporters Trust registering over 30,000 members and trusts like Portsmouth putting hundreds of members on a week, we can put that myth to bed.
